Black Stars striker, Ransford Yeboah Königsdôrffer has disclosed his desire to help Ghana finally win a trophy to end the country's fourth year abeyance at senior level.
The German-born Ghanaian international was initially not in coach Chris Hughton's squad but received a late invite to replace Inaki Williams who pulled out due to injury.
The 21 year old despite not being a regular starter at Hamburger SV this season, contributed to 11 goals; having scored ten with an assist to his belt in 35 appearances in all competitions.
He's already been included in the Black Meteors provisional man squad for the upcoming Africa U-23 Cup of Nations which starts later this month and is likely he will make the final squad.
Speaking to Ghanaweb in an interview, the young attacker has pledged he is desperate and dedicated to help Ghana win a trophy but added that could be achieved with hard work and togetherness on the part of they [the players]
"It's sad that Ghana as a country, we have not won a trophy in 40 years."
"The whole squad here wants to change that, we want to win a new trophy, but we can only do that together," Königsdörffer affirmed.
"I want to do my best, but I know I cannot improve right now", he concluded
Ransford Yeboah Königsdôrffer trained with the rest of the Black Stars squad yesterday and will make the trip to Madagascar this Friday.
The four time African champions will face the Bareas on Sunday, June 18, 2023 in Antananarivo in match-day five of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.
