Thomas Partey says Ghana needs European-borne players eligible to switch to feature for the Black Stars.

With Ghana qualifying for the World Cup in Qatar, the Black Stars is the toast of many players eligible to play for the National side.

Eddie Nketiah, Tariq Lamptey, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Inaki and Nico Williams and a host of others have all been reported to start the processes of switching to play for Ghana.

Ghana won against Madagascar and held Central African Republic to a 1-1 draw in the AFCON 2023 qualifiers and are scheduled to feature in a four nation tournament in Japan this same month.

The Black Stars deputy captain is injured and couldn't be called upon to feature in the AFCON qualifiers.

Thomas Partey, 28, says Ghana needs all the players ready to play for the team.

“Everybody has their career, you can’t push somebody to do something they are not ready to do so if they come, they are welcomed because we really need them," he told JoySports.

"We need all the players, everyone ready to play for Ghana, we need them and we are very much happy to receive whoever is ready to play for Ghana," he added.
