Black Princesses head coach, Yussif Basigi has reiterated with so much confidence that, his girls are ever ready and will beat Nigeria to win the maiden WAFU Zone B U-20 Women Championship this weekend
Being the country to stage the first edition, definitely the Princesses will set sights on nothing but a host and win and knows how it will feel to clinch ultimate on home soil.
Ghana came from a goal down to humble Burkina Faso by 3-1 in the first semi final last Wednesday, thanks to goals from Success Ameyaa, Faiza Seidu and skipper Stellar Nyamekye.
They have now set up a crunchy final with sworn rivals Nigeria- who also trounced Benin by 3-0 in the other semi final game.
In an interview with Asempa FM in Accra, the experience gaffer has lauded the tactical understanding ability of the current Princesses squad, and added they will go in for nothing but the trophy.
"Ghanaians should have faith in this Black Princesses team. They are coachable and I have been satisfied with their performance,”
“We are playing Nigeria who have experience. They have good players who have played in World Cup but we are going to match them and I am convinced we will lift the trophy,” he said.
Ghana will face Nigeria in the final on Saturday, June 2, 2023 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
