Ghana football icon Asampoah Gyan has disclosed that his major regret was to involve himself in womanizing.
The former Black Stars captain who is currently a divorcee officially married his ex-wife Gifty Oware in 2013, which the marriage was annulled by the law court on October 31, 2023. However, during their annulment proceedings, Oware initially demanded an amount of GH¢10million as alimony.
Touching on key issues and the lessons he's learnt in life, the former Sunderland striker advised the youth to refrain from philandering.
"Everybody is a womanizer, but womanizing did not help me. I will advise partners to keep their issues between themselves," Gyan said on Onua TV.
In June, 2023, the former Al-Ain gal sniffer hanged up his boots, marking the end of a career spanning two decades after picking up several league titles with individual awards, going ahead to represent Ghana at the 2004 Summer Olympics, 2006, 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups, and in seven Africa Cup of Nations in 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019, helping them finish in third-place in 2008 and runner-up in 2010 and 2015.
