Anthony Yeboah, former Black Stars forward, has lauded Al ittihad midfielder Sulley Ali Muntari over his apology to the Ghana Football Association and Ghanaians as a whole after his indefinite suspension from the senior national team.

The ex-AC Milan combative midfielder was booted from the Black Stars team following his attack on Black Stars management committee member, Moses Armah Parker, during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The 31-year-old tendered in an apology letter to the Ghana FA asking for forgiveness over his gross misconduct and has expressed a deep remorse for his indiscipline action as he looks for a return into the Black Stars team.

And now,Tony Yeboah feels the former Inter Milan man needs to be pardoned since he has shown a great remorse on his silly action.

"If Sulley has come out and said sorry,I'II say he has done well for realising his mistakes and finally expressing a deep remorse with the issuance of an apology letter to the GFA and the entire nation.I think saying sorry for the wrong thing one has done is not anything awful and so we must all forgive him," the ex Leeds United cult figure told Angel FM.

He added:"I think when someone goes wrong by doing smething  mischievous, the person normally feels guilty and becomes disturbed. He then has to render  an apology and feel free after realising his fault. So I'II cmpliment Sulley Muntari for showing that remorseful act with his apology,"

Sulley Muntari stayed away from the senior national team for alomost  two years after he was suspended indefinitely by the Ghana FA.
