The Ghana Football Association(GFA) says Kwadwo Asamoah served the country well as they wish him well in his retirement.
Ghanaian midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah announced his retirement from football earlier this week.
The 33-year-old versatile midfielder had successfully stints with Udinese, Juventus, Inter Milan and Cagliari in the Serie A.
The former Liberty professionals midfielder had 74 caps under his belt for Ghana from 2008 to 2019.
The Ghana Football Association wishes Kwadwo Asamoah well as he finally hangs up his boots.
"You served our country well, thanks for all the memories. Hope you’ll enjoy every minute of your retirement Kwadwo Asamoah,” a post on the Twitter page of the Black Stars read.
Meanwhile, Ghana have been paired with South Korea, Uruguay and Portugal in Group H of the World Cup in Qatar.
The World Cup will start from November, 20 to December, 18 this year.
