The Black Princesses of Ghana will cross swords with Cote D'Ivoire at the Baba Yara Stadium in their second game of the ongoing 2023 WAFU Zone B U-20 Women Championship.

The Princesses began the competition on a higher note after putting three past Benin in their opening game last week, kind courtesy goals from Maafia Nyame, Mary Amponsah and Stella Nyamekye.

Also, Benin redeemed themselves with an emphatic 5-2 win over Cote- which means the Ivorians will have to avoid a defeat this time to boost their qualification chances.

Ghana are still on top of Group A with three points, so as Benin with Cote D'Ivoire sitting at the bottom with none.

In a pre-match interview, head coach Yussif Basigi says there's no injury worries and his girls fully poised for action as they set sights on nothing but all three points.

We are ready and we want to take it game after game. We want to give Ghanaians good football and good results,’' Basigi told ghanafa.org.

''We don’t have any injury concern so every player is ready. We have been training to keep in shape. Getting all maximum points will take us top of the group and hopefully we will build on our performance last week. We want to make it to the finals and hopefully win the cup for Ghanaians,''

“ I always urge people to come and support the girls because they need it to go far in the competition."

The game is slated for 1500GMT.
