Asante Kotoko will chase their 26th league triumph today when they face regional rivals AshantiGold SC in an epic GPL outstanding match-week 29 tie.
The game which comes up at the Len Clay Stadium this afternoon was initially scheduled to be played on Thursday, May 19, 2022 but was postponed due to security reasons.
The Porcupine Warriors exhibited a stupendous display to edge out Medeama SC by 2-0 in Tarkwa last Sunday- a win which has gotten them closer to gripping the league trophy.
They are currently sitting at the summit of the league log with 59 points after 30 matches, and a win today will crown them champions of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
The Miners also, have been awesome off late but got held by newbies Accra Lions to a pulsating 2-2 draw last week in Obuasi after conceding at the death of the game.
AshantiGold SC at this point, are also in the top ten with 42 points and a win today will climb them up into the best six.
Another side of the game that will be monitored very well will be the goalking race since both teams have the current top two on the chat in their squad with just a goal separating them.

AshantiGold SC with the exception of the banned players, have all their players fully fit and poised for the game without any suspension or injury worries.
On the part of Kotoko, skipper Abdul Ganiyu Ismail after missing the last game, as he continue to nurse his injury.
Coach Prosper will also have to do without two key players; Yussif Mubarik due to sickness and mercurial midfielder Mudasiru Salifu due to suspension.
