With just four games to the end of the sason, the Ghana elite soccer division will continue this weekend with some interesting road games.
The fiercest match of the weekend will be Asante Kotoko and Medeama's game at the Akoon Park on Sunday as their clash takes a new meaning - with the bragging rights being intensified to romp atop of the table as the latter seems to be sitting on tenterhooks with 6 points atop of the league table.
Medeama will give their title chase another shot at home as they attempt to give their fans something to smile about as they plan to run riot over the Porcupines.
League leaders Asante Kotoko with 56 points have not been so impressive in the second round of the season as they were in the first, especially winning on the home front but they have shelled out a very inconsistent performance in their last 4 outings; 2 home defeats, 1 draw and 1 win on the road to stave off the impediments to their title aspirations and they will on Sunday have the opportunity to lurk on the summit with a win and ploy garnered 59 points on the home turf of the Mauve and Yellow.
The 2nd placed and very impressive 'Mauve and Yellow lads' will be seeking to play spoilers and postpone Kotoko's party as well as snatching a win in as many outings and boost their chances of winning the league title or remain in the top four bracket.
Fortunately for Kotoko, they have been able to replicate their inconsistent home performance away from their favorite Baba Yara stadium - where they have enjoyed good round of results.
Given Medeama's home record this season and their determination to end the 2021/22 season on height and leaving their fans beeming with incessant smiles, personally I think the match remains Medeama's top most priority this weekend, and they will have to try and work hard by going for the kill to avoid any onslaught surprise.
