Like in a fierce battle, the first week of the betPawa Premier League season will lead to excess of overreactions, which in turn can lead to certain values by going against the hysteria.
After a long offseason, we finally have games to talk and argue about, which is magnificent, but at the same time, the sample size is so minute that some will learn, whilst others won’t learn anything of note after just 90 minutes of football.
The 2022/23 season is expected to be promising with some surprising and unexpected results set to cough out and recorded and we can expect more of that as the excitement picks up in subsequent games.
And the thrill will begin in Sunday’s encounter between Karela United and newbies Tamale City at the Crosby Awuah Memorial stadium.
The Pride and Passion will relish handing Tamale City their first loss of the season. But the big question on the match day; can Tamale City surprise and upset their experienced opponents and grab all three points or will they settle for loss or draw.
Karela should always expect to beat a team like Tamale City — especially at Aiyinase, but this won’t be some major shock, and it won’t be the only time the Citizens take a big scalp this season.
However, It's never going to be the friendliest puff at the Crosby Awuah Memorial stadium as both clubs will relish claiming the maximum points at stake.
