Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko will engage newly-promoted side, Nsoatreman FC at Baba Yara Stadium in their second league game of the new season.

The Porcupine Warriors will head into this encounter with the mindset of grinding their first win whiles Nsoatreman FC will also hope to keep their unbeaten start intact.

The 'Kum Apem' lads started off the 2022/23 football season with a shocking CAF Champions League exit against Burkinabe champions RC Kadiogo- a tie they had already won the first leg in Cotonou.

Their elimination got their fans pissed off but a spirited performance against sworn rivals Hearts of Oak last Sunday looked like reigniting their hopes despite failing to claim maximum points.

On the opposition end, the 'Efiri Tete Amanaso' outfit missed out on the opening day but returned with a precious win over Bibiani Goldstars at home to snatch their first victory in the topflight.

In the last round of matches, they held another newbies, Kotoku Royals to a goalless drawn game at the Cape Coast Stadium to maintain their perfect start.

TEAM NEWS

Both teams have no injuries and suspension concerns from their last game.

Ivorian import Serge Zeze, after being declared eligible to play last week, is most likely to be handed a starting berth again due to his impressive display over the weekend in the Super-Clash.

With Nsoatreman, they have some experience players in their mix including experience center-back Richard Akrofi and Baba Mahama- who will be coming up against his former club this afternoon.
