Gold Stars have moved out of the relegation zone of the Ghana Premier League after beating Samartex 3-0 in a breathtaking contest at Dun’s Park on Sunday afternoon.
The contest was a firefight burner that livened up to the billing when Alex Aso fired a brace in the 17th and 67th minutes before forward Prince Owusu added the third in the 79th minute to seal the victory for the Miners.
Frimpong Manso’s side have moved out of the relegation zone as they are now sitting on the 14th position with 15 points.
With today’s defeat, the Timber Giants are second on 26 points.
