This weekend’s Ghana Premier League action kicks off on Saturday, with a host of matches to look forward to with so much anticipation, and it is also expected to be over-delivered in terms of goals and euphoria. Accra Lions will play host to Berekum Chelsea at WAFA Park in Sogakope.
Berekum Chelsea are currently in sixth place with 30 points in the Ghana Premier League standings and have been fairly impressive so far this season. The Bono regional outfit eased past Karela United by a comfortable 3-0 victory last Sunday and will be confident ahead of this fixture.
Accra Lions, on the other hand, are in fourteenth place with 21 points in the league table at the moment. The hosts were held to a 0-0 stalemate by Legon Cities in their previous game and will need to take it up a notch this weekend.
Berekum Chelsea can pack a punch on the day after appointing Samuel Boadu as their new head coach earlier this week, hoping to be in excellent form under his tutelage. Both teams are on an even footing at the moment and could play out a draw in this match.
