Making a welcome return to enemy territory, a beleaguered Legon Cities side head south to face Asante Kotoko in Sunday’s Premier League game at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The Royals ended up on the bad side of Ghana football history in a 3-1 dismantling at the hands of Kotoko in the first round.

Since putting two past Bofoakwa Tano without reply in December last year, Kotoko had tried and failed on twelve occasions to post another clean sheet that’s above more than a single goal Premier League victory, a far cry from the goal-laden renaissance that Prosper Ogum has overseen towards the end of the campaign.

However, thanks to another wasteful display from Kotoko at Akoon Park, the Porcupine Warriors belatedly achieved their seventh top-flight draw this season last Saturday, where Stephen Mukwala put the visitors ahead before the break, but Medeama equalised in the 59th minute with a penalty through Diawisie Taylor.

The Porcupines are 11th in the league table, now 15 points beneath 1st-placed Samartex on the same number of games.

Legon Cities are ranked 10th on the league table with 38 points, and they are without success in their last three competitive clashes with Kotoko, sharing the spoils twice and going down 3-1 to the Porcupine Warriors at their previous turf - WAFA Park in late November.
