Asante Kotoko return to Premier League action when they face Real Tamale United at the Aliu Mahama Stadium on Saturday afternoon.




Both side’s succumbed to rollercoaster defeats in last weekend’s top flight fixtures. RTU were stunned 2-0 at Berekum Chelsea, while Great Olympics beat Kotoko 1-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium.



Asante Kotoko can momentarily climb to the Premier League top-eight standing with victory on Saturday against an RTU side whom they have already beaten in the reverse fixture at home this season on December 24, by a scoreline of 1-0.



The Porcupine Warriors will be confident in reigniting their supremacy over the Pride of the North of further success on Saturday as they make a welcomed return to Tamale as they have recorded eight wins, four draws and four defeats in 17 Premier League games between October 22nd, 2006 and December 2023.



RTU, who have just won five of their 15 Premier League fixtures on the road this year, including 8 defeats and 2 draws. On the other hand, the Pride of the North - who have already been relegated, remain 18th in the table with 31 points.
