After tasting home defeat to Medeama SC in last season's opening fixtures, Legon Cities will be hoping for a positive result against Karela United in Sunday's showdown.
Legon Cities will be welcoming the Pride and Passion lads to the El-wak Sports Stadium for the match-week one of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.
The Royals picked four points from Karela United last season — beating them 2-0 in Aiyinase and a 1-1 home stalemate — and will be looking forward to record a convincing win under Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin.
Fabin in a pre-match interview said he is confident of a win against Karela United to hit grounds running at his new club. He was appointed as replacement for Maxwell Konadu after leaving Aduana Stars at the end of the 2022/23 season.
At Karela United, Coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko will also be expecting a turnaround in this encounter after succumbing to a 2-0 home defeat to Legon Cities at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in Aiyinase last season.
