Nsoatreman will aim to move to the top of the Ghanaian Premier League table on Sunday, when Karela United visit Nana Amoah Koronmansah Park.
Having won seven successive league games, the hosts are level on points with table-toppers Aduana Stars but remain behind with a menial goal difference as they are tied on 24 points after 13 games, while their visitors sit seventeenth following a two-game winless run.
Maxwell Konadu’s side scored two first and second-half goals via Collins Kudjoe and Manaf Umar to secure three points against Bibiani Gold Stars last time out.
The match-day defeat away at Hearts of Oak, Dreams FC (1-1), Great Olympics and the topsy-turvy defeat to Medeama in Tarkwa are the only times Nsoatreman have dropped points in the league this season.
However, the ‘Efiri Tete Amanaso’ have a not-too-bad record in front of their fans so far in the league while they have also won one home match and lost once against Karela United.
With Aduana playing Nations FC on Saturday, the hosts could go three points clear at the top with a win.
Having dropped into the relegation zone after last Sunday’s heavy defeat at home against Bechem United, Shaibu Tanko’s men needed an upset against the unflinching Nsoatreman to move out of the drop-pecking and set their season back on track.
