The third time could be the charm for Aduana and Nations, who lock horns in Sunday’s Premier League Match-Day Three showdown at Nana Agyemang Badu Park.

Neither side has a top-flight win to their name yet this term, although the Abrankese based side are still unbeaten after two games, while the Fire Boys are still waiting for their first shred of Premier League positivity.

Match Preview

Nations have one final chance in September to banish a monthly hoodoo under Kasim Mingle, who is yet accrue the maximum points at stake of his two top-flight games this term.

What is more, Nations have not even managed a single Premier League goal in all of those battles, although it has been 3 months (16/6/24) since they last lost an away game in the top flight, suffering a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Nsoatreman.

Down to Bechem last weekend, the elements refused to offer Aduana a helping hand in their closely-fought contest with Bechem United, as the Fire Boys recorded a 51% ball possession, while the Hunters inched out 49% of possession.

Aduana have been beaten once in both of their last two meetings in the top flight - firing a 2-1 dramatic win in the first round of the 2023/24 Premier League season. Aduana however, prevailed over Nations with a 1-0 win during the second round of last term, where midfielder’ Yussif Chibsah Alhassan was Aduana’s hero scoring the only goal of the match.

Team News

Aduana’s defensive absentee crisis has eased since the start of this season as at compared to last season.

The Fire Boys will go into this game with full house as none of their players are clouded in uncertainty, expecting to be a torn in the flesh for the opponents.

As far as Nations are concerned, Kasim Mingle’s men emerged unscathed, where he is on cloud nine to field all his key players who returns to the starting XI and might do the job for him on Sunday, September 22.

Aduana Stars possible starting lineup: Inusah (GK); Abu Adams, Sam Adams (C), Amoako, Boakye, Mahama, Marfo, Mensah, Sackey, Silas, Tetteh.

Nations FC possible starting lineup:  Mensah (GK); Acquah, Amankwaa, Amporful, Baah, Djangone, Karin, Kuffour, Oduro, Simpson (C), Sulemana.

We say: Aduana 1-0 Nations FC

Neither Acheampong nor Mingle possess the managerial formula for success since the start of the season this month of September, but given the Nations' propensity for fouls - they were shown four yellow cards against Young Apostles - Aduana can at least get on the goalscoring board.

A Nations side aiming to right their wrongs can fight fire with fire, but not enough for us to believe that they can end their winless streak.
