Having made differing starts to their top flight journeys, Bechem United and Medeama now prepare to lock horns in Sunday's Ghana Premier League blockbuster at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.

The pressure continues to pile on Kwaku Danso’s shoulders following the hosts' 1-0 defeat at Bibiani Goldstars, while Medeama were held to a goalless draw by Samartex in matchday 3 outstanding game on Wednesday afternoon.

Match Preview

Whether the Hunters management finally bite the bullet and give Kwaku Danso the boot in the coming weeks only time will tell, but the Bechem indigene has hardly justified Kingsley Acheaw’s decision to stick rather than twist over this month, as his side sit in 13th with five points of the standings after five games.

In midweek, creativity was in extremely short supply for Medeama only a couple of days ago, but Nebojsa Kapor’s crop have reverted to type in the final third with four goals in their last three games, hitting Accra Lions, Legon Cities and Holy Stars for four in the top flight.

Head-to-head the Hunters could be forgiven for dreading away wins, though, as their side have only triumphed in two of their last 6 Ghana Premier League matches on the road against the Yellow and Mauves while losing four of their last six, dishing out that dismal statistics.

Team News

Immediately after the stalemate with Samartex, Kapor confirmed that he expects to have an identical squad available for the visit of Bechem.

The 38-year-old Bosnian tactician should not shy away from a couple of alterations for the visit of Bechem on Sunday, October 13.

Emmanuel Owusu ought to force his way back into the starting lineup, although whether he replaces Darlvin Yeboah is anybody's guess.

Speaking of attacking uncertainties, both side’s haven’t suffered an alarming scare ahead of Sunday’s encounter.

Bechem United possible starting lineup:
Aziz (GK) (C); Abban, Abdulai, Acheampong, Acquah; Asabere, Mantey; Nyarko, Owusu, Regain; Yeboah.

Medeama possible starting lineup:
Kubi (GK) (C); Abdulai, Boison, Cudjoe, Dzakpasu; Fordjour, Mamadu, Mantey; Owusu, Sulemana, Taylor

We say: Bechem United 1-1 Medeama

While Medeama have so far won all two of their away matches in the Premier League this season, the Hunters have won on from their two home matches since the start of this season.

Therefore, even if Kwaku Danso’s wildly inconsistent troops can draw first blood, they will surely be pegged back in a draw vein, as Medeama leave Fosu Gyeabour with a share of the spoils.
