It’s the final matchweek of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League, and all eyes will be on Tuba as Dreams FC welcome Legon Cities in a juicy Greater Accra derby showdown with pride and positioning on the line.

While the title is yet to be decided and the relegation drama already settled, this Matchweek 34 encounter is anything but a dead rubber. For Dreams FC, it’s about ending a rollercoaster campaign on a high, especially in front of their home fans at the Theatre of DreamsTuba Astroturf.

For Legon Cities, it’s a chance to put a pinch of smiles on the faces of their fans as the season comes to an end.

Match Preview

It’s been a stop-start season for the Still Believe lads, who at times dazzled but too often dropped points in key moments and although they started the season poorly with a run of disappointing results, coach Wilfred Dormon will be urging his side to finish with flair and give the Tuba faithful something to smile about.

Watch out for forward Abdul Razak Salifu, who’s hit form at the business end of the season, and midfield general Emmanuel Danquah, whose creativity could unlock the Royals' backline.

Tactical Preview

It hasn’t been the dream season Legon Cities hoped for either, as the Royals failed to show grit in the first and second half of the campaign, but maybe, they’ll look to spoil the party and grab bragging rights in this capital clash.

Coach Tijani Abdul Rahim has hinted at some tactical surprises, and his side have been poor on the road to the surprise of many.

What to Expect?

Goals could fly – both teams are leaky at the back but loaded with attacking flair.

Midfield battle – Salifu vs. Armegah could be key.

Bragging rights – With both sides from Accra, pride is at stake even if trophies aren’t.

Dreams FC possible starting lineup (4-3-3):

Wahabu (GK), Asante, Baafi, Danquah, Guede, Mohammed I, Nemordeen, Razak S, Suraj, Tetteh, Esso (C)

Legon Cities possible starting lineup (4-2-3-1):

Adjei (GK); Akoto (C), Sowah, Alabah, Alidu, Ankrah, Antwi, Armegah, Fuseini, Gyesi, Yeboah

We say: Dreams FC 4-0 Legon Cities

Expect a lively, open game with both sides going for it. It’s the finale, after all — and neither team wants to bow out quietly. But Cities will definitely be flipped and bounced.

Kickoff for this match is scheduled at 15:00 GMT, on Sunday June 8.
