As the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign nears a dramatic close, all eyes will be on Samreboi as FC Samartex host Aduana Stars in a high-stakes Matchweek 33 encounter.
The Timber Giants, who are aiming to wrap up their campaign as a top four seeded side will test their mettle against the Fire Carrier this weekend
The two teams met for the sixth time in their history since 5th January this year when Samartex went to Dormaa to stun Aduana 1-0 at the Agyeman Badu Stadium.

Samartex have now added Bechem United to their growing collection of Premier League scalps this season, along with Basake Holy Stars (3-0), Karela United (2-0), Legon Cities (2-0), Accra Lions (2-0) and Medeama (2-0), and Christopher Ennin's spirited squad will not be fazed by their last two encounters against Aduana and Hearts of Oak.
After finishing as champions with a club-record 61 points last season, the Timber Giants have already notched up 48 points from 32 games so far this term and sit seventh in the Premier League table, just six points behind the top four and four in front of Aduana in tenth.
Samartex will fancy their chances of success on Sunday as they have not lost any of their previous five league meetings with Aduana (W4 D1).
Samartex have won five, lost three, and drawn one in their last nine league matches. The Timber Boys have been dominant at home, combining solid defending with clinical finishing.
Tactical Preview
Samartex are likely to stick with their trusted 4-2-3-1 setup, focusing on controlling midfield tempo and exploiting the flanks. Aduana, meanwhile, may deploy a 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 formation to stay compact and hit on the counter.
The game could be decided in midfield, where Samartex’s pressing and ball retention will be tested by Aduana’s physical and tactical discipline.
