Medeama SC slumped in their Ghana Premier League Matchweek 26 game as they let-in an early goal to fall 1-0 to Hearts of Oak on Sunday.

Raphael Amponsah netted an early (22nd minute) thunderbolt to give the Phobians a deserved victory, as seems not to be the case these days for the capital side as they've been in dire need of a win in their last four matches.

The Yellow and Mauves collapsed in the second half, having had to labour to keep their hosts at bay. A tactical tweak led to a fast start from Hearts of Oak, who overcame the early intensity of their visitors to open the scoring after just twenty-two minutes.

With Hearts of Oak fans celebrating the recent return and sight of Benjamin Asare in between the posts, he went ahead to win the Man of the Match as he stepped up once again when it mattered most.

This win against 10-man Yellow and Mauves at the Accra Sports Stadium has propelled Hearts of Oak to the 4th position with 40 points, while Medeama have slipped to 7th on 38 points.
