Accra Lions FC return on winning ways after coming from a goal down to beat Basake Holy Stars by 2-1 at the Ohene Gyan Stadium earlier this afternoon at the Ohene Gyan Stadium
It was really a very exciting fixture in the capital with both teams exhibiting some sumptuous display of football leaving all supporters present at the venue excited.
Holy Stars opened the scoring account in just five minutes into the game courtesy Prince Tweneboah who converted from 15-yards and held onto the lead till half time.
In the second half, both teams bounced back stronger with Accra Lions throwing more men forward in search of the vital equalizer while the visitors were very desperate to preserve their lead.
In the 70th minute, Musah Hamzata finally scored with a powerful hit to finally get Accra Lions back on level terms.
Six minutes later, Lucky Nwafor scored again for the Blue-Blacks with a towering header from a great cross from Fuzy Taylor to win it for the home side.
It finished 2-1 for Accra Lions after full-time who are now back on winning track and have moved out of the danger zone and will host giants Asante Kotoko next.
Basake Holy Stars however, will host Vision FC in what will be a must win game in the midweek.
