Asante Kotoko have returned to the summit of the Ghana Premier League after edging past Berekum Chelsea with a narrow 1-0 win in their outstanding matchday 21 fixture on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Daniel Adjetey's decisive goal in the 74th minute proved to be the difference as Kotoko secured all three points to reclaim first place in the league standings.
Gold Stars FC had temporarily displaced the Porcupine Warriors at the top on Tuesday after securing a 2-1 victory over Heart of Lions. However, Kotoko responded swiftly with a determined performance to regain their position at the summit.
With this victory, Kotoko now lead the table with 45 points, while Berekum Chelsea remain in mid-table with 32 points.
