Asante Kotoko have humiliated Dreams FC by an emphatic 4-1 in Ghana Premier League match-week 31 showdown at the Baba Yara Stadium
The Porcupine Warriors right from onset began to make some incursions with Saaka Dauda coming close to scoring but his 9th minute strike resulted into a wasted corner kick
Albert Amoah six minutes later got the opener for the home team after latching on a pass from Kwame Opoku
Dreams FC came close to levelling things up in the 25th minute but their effort was stopped brilliantly by goalkeeper Mohammed Camara
Kwame Opoku got his name on the scoresheet to double the lead for the Reds in the dying embers of the first half
Five minutes into the second half, the 'Still Believe' lads scored courtesy Jonathan Nemorden to reduce deficit and began to push harder for the precious equalizer
However, it didn't take long as Asante Kotoko scored again to restore their two-goal lead after a beautiful dink from Kwame Opoku to mark his brace in the game
Nigerian attacker Fernando Bassey scored in the 71st minute to increase the tally as Kotoko continues to run riots over their opponents as it ended 4-1 after full-time
Asante Kotoko after this commanding victory remain in fourth position on the league table with 54 points and will face current leaders Bibiani Goldstars in what will be a very herculean clash next week
Dreams FC however are in 9th position with 43 points after this loss and will host Berekum Chelsea in the next round of matches
