Dreams FC secured a vital 2-1 win over Heart of Lions at the Kpando Sports Stadium in a rescheduled Ghana Premier League matchday 20 fixture on Wednesday afternoon.

The victory provides a major boost for Dreams FC as they battle to stay above the relegation zone, while Heart of Lions missed the opportunity to strengthen their position in the top half of the table.

The visitors took an early lead in the 17th minute when Joseph Esso calmly converted a penalty to put Dreams in front. However, Heart of Lions responded swiftly, with Nana Kwame Oppong equalizing in the 25th minute with a well-taken strike. The first half ended 1-1, with both sides displaying moments of quality.

The second half remained tightly contested, but Dreams FC found the breakthrough in the 76th minute when Kofi Marshah fired home to restore their lead. Despite late pressure from Heart of Lions, Dreams held firm to secure all three points.

Heart of Lions, who had been favorites heading into the match due to their strong home record, suffered only their second home defeat in 23 games—a setback that could dent their title ambitions. Meanwhile, Dreams FC will take confidence from the result as they continue their fight to avoid relegation.
