FC Samartex wrapped up 2024/25 Ghana Premier League match-week six with an emphatic 2-0 win over Nsoatreman FC this morning at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex.
Originally, the game was slated for last Sunday just like other matches but got rescheduled to this morning due to a heavy downpour of rain in Samreboi.
The champions made an explosive start to the game with Akwasi Sarpong getting his name on the scoresheet to put them in front in just two minutes into the game.
Just eight minutes later, Felix Koduah Junior scored again to double the lead for FC Samartex.
The first half didn't really end too well as both teams had to finish with an injury each; Daniel Afadwu (Sabi Acquah Ferdinand) for Nsoatreman FC, Michael Ephson (Seidu Abubakar) for Samartex.
In the second half, the 'Efiri Tete Amanaso' outfit made a strong start this time around having upped the ante as they looked to get back in the game as quick as possible.
Akwasi Sarpong few moments later came so close to getting his brace but his thunderbolt went off the crossbar.
Both teams continued mounting so much pressure, having exerted more energy in their game but there was no goal registered again in the second half as it finished 2-0 for the Timber Giants.
This is FC Samartex's second win of the campaign despite remaining unbeaten and will face giants Asante Kotoko next.
Nsoatreman FC on the other hand, suffered their third season loss and will host Basake Holy Stars this weekend.
