Hearts of Oak got held by Nsoatreman FC to a pulsating 1-1 draw at the University of Ghana Stadium in a very thrilling match-week 12 fixture.
Both teams surrounded the center-half of the pitch together with the match officials before kickoff to observe a minute silence in honor of the late Michael Osei who sadly passed on couple of days ago.
Nsoatreman FC started on a very good note having tested Asare on two occasions in less than two minutes before eventually opening the scoring account of the game in the 13th minute through Stephen Diyou.
Hearts of Oak with a quick response just four minutes later courtesy Salim Adams who scored with a belter from a sumptuous free kick from way out.
Despite not being that effective again, both teams returned to the second half on a blistering note and took the game at each other as they all set sights on securing early goal this time.
Salim Adams just six minutes from the break, launched two powerful hits at goal in search of the lead but all couldn't end up at the back of the net.
In the 77th minute, the 'Efiri Tete Amanaso' outfit made a very dangerous attack looking to restore their lead but a great tackle from Osei Asibey rescued the situation for the homesters. It finished 1-1 after full time.
Hearts of Oak after the draw have now moved to the third position with 19 points and will face their bitter rivals Asante Kotoko in the next round of matches.
Nsoatreman FC are currently on the tenth spot with 13 points and will host Dreams FC next.
