Legon Cities picked their second win of the season with an emphatic 2-0 win over Young Apostles FC in the last fixture of week 9 of the Ghana Premier League.

Both started the game on a jittery note as they all appeared to have relaxed in the opening minutes without any dangerous incursions.

However, the home side subsequently found their pieces and broke the deadlock in the 15th minute courtesy Dennis Adoma who scored with a brilliant strike.

Young Apostles pushed more men upfront after conceding in search of the leveller but their attacks were not to earn the equalizer as it stayed 1-0 till half time.

In the second half, the Royals came so close to increasing their tally but Williams Adjei's header was dealt with by goalkeeper Zulka Masawudu.

The visitors attacked so much in the closing moments and made some goal attempts but all were checked by goalkeeper Kwame Aziz- who was so impressive with his reflexes and ball distribution.

In the closing moment of the game, Abdul Rahim Yaya scored to double the lead for Legon Cities and it moved on to finish 2-0 after full time.

Legon Cities FC are still found in the danger zone with eight points and will travel to FC Samartex in the next round of matches.

Young Apostles are currently sitting on the 14th position with 9 points and will face league leaders Goldstars next.
