Mawuli Wayo's late double hands Hearts of Oak another paramount win after beating Accra Lions FC in an exciting five-goal thriller at the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope in match-week 15.

The first chance of the game was produced in just eight minutes from kickoff when Saani Mohammed found Ramzy Yussif in the middle with a great cross but was saved by the visitors goalie.

Two minutes later, Saani Mohammed, Hussein and Boateng combined to create Hearts' first but was once again checked by goalkeeper Daniel Afful.

Accra Lions began finding their pieces and came up with a goal-scoring opportunity but was read very well by Kelvin Osei Asibey.

Hearts of Oak finally opened the scoring account in the 35th minute through Hussein Mohammed who connected into the net with brave header from Saani's cross.

In the second half, the Blue-Blacks made a very good return and levelled the score in just eight minutes from the break courtesy Nigerian international Lucky Nwafor.

In the 73rd minute, another Nigerian forward Ezekiel Alladoh came off the bench to struck into the net to hand the homesters the lead for the first time in the game.

The 'Phobians' never relented and kept on attacking in search of a goal and substitute Mawuli Wayo responded to the call with a powerful hit from way out to grind the equalizer.

Mawuli sealed his brace three minutes later with another cool finish after nipping on a huge defensive blunder to restore Hearts of Oak's lead as it finished 2-3 after full time.

Accra Lions are now winless in their last two matches while Hearts of Oak return fully on winning path.
