Medeama SC extended their unbeaten run with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Basake Holy Stars at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park on Sunday afternoon, keeping their 100% record intact in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League.

The match saw a breakthrough in the 58th minute when Medeama defender Kamaradini Mamudu headed in the opening goal. However, Holy Stars responded swiftly, equalizing just two minutes later through Isaah Yakubu.

Medeama's forward Diawisie Taylor delivered the decisive moment in the 65th minute, scoring a spectacular long-range effort to secure all three points for the visitors.

Despite enjoying more possession (54% to 46%) and leading the goal attempts (14-6), Basake Holy Stars were unable to capitalize on their dominance, leaving them winless since their opening day victory over Hearts of Oak.

Medeama SC, with three wins in a row, now prepare to host Heart of Lions in their next fixture, while Holy Stars will head on the road to face Vision FC.
