Bibiani Goldstars nipped on Michael Nkoah's line goal to narrow defeat Nations FC by 1-0 in a thrilling Ghana Premier League round 23 fixture.
Both clubs entered the game with so much determination and seriousness leaving a very open encounter at the Dun's Park
Goldstars looked ahead in terms of chances creation and number of goal attempts but had no goal to show especially in the early stages of the game.
Nations FC however, also took charge of possession and also looked very strong and solid in defense ensuring no goal gets into their net as it finished goalless at half time.
Back from recess, the two coaches made substitutions looking to overturn things to their favour so they could run out with all three points but was really a tedious task for both clubs.
Finally in the 70th minute, Bibiani Goldstars found the back of the net through Michael Nkoah to jump into the lead. Just what they had kept on hunting for.
Despite the series of attempts made by the Eagles in the closing moments, there was no goal registered as it finished 1-0 in regulation time.
Bibiani Goldstars despite the win will remain in the second position on the league table with 37 points and will play Aduana Stars next in Dormaa
On the other hand, Nations FC have dropped to fifth position with 32 points and will host Medeama SC in Abrankese in the next round of matches.
