Medeama’s improvement under new coach Ibrahim Tanko’s was brought to bare apace as the former Premier League champions secured a 3-1 win against Bechem United at the TnA Stadium.

Tanko celebrated his first huge top-flight victory after taking the reigns as head coach of the Tarkwa based side, but it is now two wins, two losses and one draw in the last five Premier League games for the Yellow and Mauves, who felt a sense of justice having secured all the the three maximum points at home on Sunday mid -afternoon. 

Darlvin Yeboah dinked home the opener in the 6th minute for Bechem United, but his goal was chopped off by Bernardinho Tetteh - as he dispatched a 16th minute screamer, before Michael Sarpong (67th minute) and forward Kelvin Nkrumah (94th minute) struck to make it back-to-back wins for Medeama under Tanko - and first on the road since the resumption of the Ghanaian top-flight this weekend - with their gap to the Premier League top four pecking now standing at five points.

Following a not-way-too impressive performance in their last five games in the Premier League; winning twice, losing two and managing one draw, Bechem United are still in search of a win tonic this season and are seventh in the table on 30 points.
