Issah Yakubu scored the only goal of the game as Basake Holy Stars won their second match in a row to beat Legon Cities in a scrappy encounter at the AAK II Sports Arena, Ampain.

Yakubu scored the winning goal in the 58th minute when he dinked home to secure all three points for the hosts.

The game lacked quality at times, but Holy Stars continued to work hard and the home side came closest on several occasions as they kept hunting for goals.

The result means the Holy Stars continue their good form and have lost six, drawn three and won four in their past 13 games.

This win has propelled Holy Stars to the 12th position with 3 points, while Legon Cities still gasps for breath in the 17th position on 25 points.
