Medeama rebounded from their two consecutive defeats with a superb 1-0 victory over Legon Cities at TNA Stadium on Sunday afternoon, ending the weekend on a wonderful high.
The Yellow and Mauves dominated possession in both the first and second halves with 63%, a rare feat given their league-low average of 38.2% in the few prior games, but their ongoing inability to find the net persisted.
However, the elements sided with them allowing Medeama to break the deadlock through defender’ Nurudeen Abdulai in the 69th minute, meaning the hosts will hold on to the lead which panned out to be the only goal of the match.
The result leaves Medeama sitting seventh in the table with 29 points from 19 matches, though teams around them are still trailing them, while Legon Cities are 17th in the standings with 17 points from 19 fixtures, leaving the Royals to kizomba-dance in the drop zone.
