FC Samartex will try to get back to winning ways when they face Medeama SC on Sunday afternoon in matchweek 23 of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.

Match Preview

The Timber Giants go into this match after losing 1–0 away to Swedru All Blacks last weekend. That defeat slowed them down, but FC Samartex have had a good season so far, with nine wins, eight draws and five losses from 22 matches.

Coached by 43-year-old Christopher Ennin, Samartex have become a well-organised team that is hard to beat, especially at home. They are currently sixth on the league table with 35 points and will be hoping to reduce the gap to the top four with a strong performance against the league leaders.

Medeama SC, meanwhile, arrive in Samreboi as the best team in the league this season. The Yellow and Mauve sit top of the table with 44 points after 22 games, having won 12 matches, drawn eight and lost only twice.

Under head coach Anyass Ibrahim Tanko, Medeama have been very consistent in both defence and attack. They will be keen to stay at the top of the table and avoid dropping points, even though playing away against FC Samartex will not be easy.
