Bechem United have secured their Ghana Premier League status after a convincing 3–1 victory over Asante Kotoko at the Nana Gyeabour Park on Sunday.

Heading into the penultimate round of matches needing a win to confirm safety, Bechem produced a determined and clinical performance to pull clear of the relegation zone.

Former Kotoko forward Augustine Okrah delivered a standout display against his old club, scoring a superb brace, while Richard Dwamena also got on the scoresheet in a dominant first-half showing.

Bechem started brightly and broke the deadlock in the 20th minute through Dwamena after sustained early pressure on the Porcupine Warriors.

The home side quickly doubled their lead just four minutes later when Okrah punished a disorganised Kotoko defence with a composed finish.

Okrah struck again in the 36th minute to complete his brace, giving Bechem a commanding 3–0 lead before the break.

Kotoko struggled to impose themselves for long spells despite their push for a stronger league finish, with clear chances proving limited.

The visitors improved after halftime and managed to pull one back in the 80th minute through Patrick Asiedu, but it was too late to mount a serious comeback.

The result confirms Bechem United’s survival in the Ghana Premier League for another season, while Kotoko’s hopes of climbing higher in the table suffered another setback.
