Berekum Chelsea rounded off their season in impressive fashion, securing a fifth consecutive victory after a hard-fought 3-2 win over regional rivals Bechem United at the Golden City Park.
The entertaining clash saw goals from Seidu Abubakari, Marvin Owusu, and Augustine Okrah in a thrilling encounter that swung back and forth from start to finish.
Chelsea started brightly and took control midway through the first half. Abubakari opened the scoring in the 35th minute before doubling his tally just two minutes later to put the hosts firmly in charge.
Bechem United responded before the break, with experienced forward Augustine Okrah pulling one back to reduce the deficit and keep the Hunters in contention.
The visitors returned from halftime with renewed energy, pressing for an equaliser and creating several dangerous moments in attack.
However, Chelsea struck again late in the game when Marvin Owusu found the decisive goal five minutes from time to restore their cushion.
Okrah later produced a stunning strike directly from a corner to complete his brace, but it was not enough to prevent Bechem from falling short in an exciting five-goal contest.
Despite the late pressure, Berekum Chelsea held on to seal all three points and finish their campaign on a strong winning run.
