Aduana Stars scored late once again to secure an important and narrow 1-0 win over Dreams FC in match-day 7 of the Ghana Premier League.

It was really a very exciting game at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park as both teams took it at each other with some sumptuous display of football but it was that late goal that made the difference.

The visitors made the first attempt on goal in the first 15th minute but Suraj Seidu had his shot stopped by the back line of their hosts.

The homesters also made a vintage attack in the 34th minute but Hensen Anponsah’s cross wasn’t ambitious enough having went across the face of goal without any connection.

Back from recess, Aduana Stars bounced back stronger and came close to scoring in just ten minutes from the break but in-form Emmanuel Marfo couldn’t make it count.

In the 69th minute mark, Mezack Afriyie came so close to scoring in consecutive games but had his towering header goes off the crossbar.

Finally in the 80th minute mark, Daouda Sidibé nipped on a big defensive clanger to strike from a close range to win it for the ‘Ogya’ lads as it finished 1-0 after full-time.

Aduana Stars after the win have climbed to the summit of the league log with 15 points and will aim at another win again next week when they travel to Eleven Wonders.

Dreams FC have now secured their fifth loss of the campaign and are currently in the 15th place with 4 points and will host FC Samartex next.
