Dreams FC claimed an important 2–1 win over Medeama SC in their Matchweek 26 encounter at the Tuba AstroTurf on Sunday afternoon.
The Still Believes made a bright start and took the lead in the 19th minute through midfielder Adams Aminu, who finished well to put Dreams FC ahead.
Dreams continued their strong performance into the second half and doubled their lead in the 49th minute. Forward Abdul Razak Salifu found the back of the net to make it 2–0, giving the hosts a comfortable advantage.
However, the Yellow and Mauves responded later in the game. Forward Kelvin Nkrumah scored in the 74th minute to pull one goal back and set up a tense finish.
The visitors pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but Dreams FC stayed strong in defence. The home side also looked for a third goal to finish the game but could not add to their tally.
In the end, Dreams FC did enough to hold on and secure all three points in a competitive match.
The result moves Dreams FC up to 9th place on the league table with 34 points. Medeama SC, meanwhile, drop to 2nd place with 46 points after the defeat.
