Mawuli Wayo’s goal at the death has handed Hearts of Oak a narrow 1-0 win over Hohoe United in a thrilling match-day 18 clash of the Ghana Premier League.

One of the major talking points of the game had to do with Benjamin Asare returning in goal for Hearts of Oak after months out with injury and of course kept a clean sheet.

The game was really a very entertaining and exciting one for both teams who really stood up against each other in a very challenging fashion.

Back from recess, Hohoe United returned on a higher note with an early attack from William Oduro but was stopped timely by Baba Adamu.

Hamza Issah was served with a glorious opportunity to break the deadlock but was late on arrival to make the connection as the ball went across the face of goal.

Mawuli Wayo finally scored the all important goal at the death of the game with a great into the box to smash into the net to seal the victory.

Hohoe United are currently sitting in 16th place after the defeat with 18 points and face Young Apostles next.

Hearts of Oak have now climbed up to the third position with 31 points and will host Dreams FC in the next round of matches
