Vision FC will be necking it down with Nations FC this afternoon, Saturday, December 27, in a matchweek 16 clash at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema Newtown.

Match Preview

Hosts Vision FC enter the encounter desperate to halt a worrying slump after suffering back-to-back defeats in their last two league outings. The Eeewo Boys have endured an inconsistent campaign so far, registering three wins, six draws and six defeats from their opening 15 matches.

That return leaves Vision FC sitting 17th on the 18-club league log with 15 points, and they will view this home fixture as a crucial opportunity to reignite their survival push in front of their supporters in Tema.

Nations FC, meanwhile, arrive in comparatively steadier form, having recorded five wins, four draws and six defeats across the same period. Their 19-point tally places them 10th on the table, comfortably positioned in mid-table yet still within touching distance of the teams above them.

The visitors will be eager to build energy heading into the second half of the campaign, but they will also be wary of a Vision FC side fighting to claw their way out of the drop zone.

With both teams motivated for contrasting reasons, Vision FC seeking revival and Nations FC chasing consistency,  Saturday’s clash promises to be a fiercely contested affair in Tema Newtown.

Team News

Vision FC

The Eeewo Boys are expected to keep faith with much of the side that featured in their last outing, which was against Karela United, though the technical team is likely to stress greater defensive discipline after conceding in consecutive defeats. Captain Kusi Asante will again anchor the back line, while Daniel Yemoh and Evans Akuaku are tipped to carry the attacking threat in the wings and forward roles. Midfielders Lord Xorse Kudzinya and Kingsley Appiah are also set to play key roles in driving the team forward from the centre of the park.

Nations FC

Nations FC have no major injury concerns heading into the trip to Tema and could line up with a familiar three-at-the-back shape. Skipper Razak Simpson is expected to police the defence, with Sulemana Suhuyini and Raymond Oko Grippmann tasked with controlling the midfield battleground. In attack, the lively trio of Emmanuel Annor, Richard Danso, and John Ahuma Ocansey will look to exploit spaces on the break.

We say: Vision FC 1–2 Nations FC

In what is likely to be a tight game, Vision FC may produce a spirited home performance, but Nations FC’s greater balance and attacking sharpness could prove pivotal.

We back Emmanuel Annor to open the scoring for Nations FC with a composed finish inside the box, before Vision FC respond through Evans Akuaku, who may capitalise on a defensive mix-up to level matters. However, late into the second half, Richard Danso could snatch the winner for the visitors with a clinical effort from the edge of the area.
