Asante Kotoko and Medeama SC played out an entertaining 1-1 draw in their Ghana Premier League match-week 9 encounter at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The visitors took the lead in the 43rd minute when Sufian Usman rose highest to head home from Prince Owusu’s free kick.
The Porcupine Warriors returned for the second half determined to respond and found their equaliser in the 56th minute through captain Musah Hamzata, who headed home with a towering header from a corner kick.
Both sides continued to battle for control in an engaging clash, but neither could find a winning goal as the points were shared in Kumasi.
The draw leaves Kotoko in ninth position on the league table and will now turn their attention to an away fixture against Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park next.
Medeama SC, meanwhile, remain top of the standings despite dropping points on the road. The Tarkwa-based side will look to return to winning ways when they host Swedru All Blacks in their next league clash.
