Ghana Football Association Spokesperson, Henry Asante Twum has confirmed seven players have been excluded from the Black Stars squad due to injuries.
Otto Addo on starting his job as the full time head coach of the Black Stars, announced his squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers earlier this morning at the GFA headquarters.
The seven injured players include; Iddrisu Baba Mohammed, Inaki Williams, Joseph Paintsil, Nathaniel Adjei, Majeed Ashimeru, Denis Odoi and Daniel Amartey.
However, the squad consisted of expected figures like Kudus Mohammed, Osman Bukari, Alexander Djiku, Salis Abdul Samed, Mohammed Salisu, Thomas Partey has also returned to the team since last October and others
The four-time African champions had what isn't an impressive start to the World Cup qualifiers having won against Madagascar but lost to Comoros in their second game and will hope to seek redemption this time around.
Ghana will play as guests to Mali in Bamako on June 6, before they host Central African Republic in Kumasi on June 10, 2024.
