Hearts of Oak are set to approach Sunday’s high-stakes league clash against Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium with almost a full squad, according to head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani.
The match, scheduled for February 15, sees fourth-placed Hearts face fifth-placed Kotoko in one of Ghana football’s fiercest rivalries. The encounter comes shortly after Abdul Karim Zito resigned as Kotoko’s head coach, with assistant Prince Owusu stepping in as interim boss.
In a pre-match interview with the club’s media team, Dramani confirmed that nearly the entire squad is available for selection.
“We have been very lucky; we have close to 90 to 98% of our squad fit. Very few players are unavailable, especially Rocky Dwamena,” he said.
The coach also mentioned that Kwabena Owusu, who has been absent for some time, is expected to return to full fitness soon. “I think at least 98% of our players are training and ready,” Dramani added, signalling confidence ahead of the weekend’s blockbuster fixture.
