Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Abubakar Ouattara has bemoaned his frustration after his charges managed a blankless draw at FC Samartex.

The capital giants failed to punish their struggling hosts as they were held to a 0-0 stalemate at the Nsenkyire Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Despite the lacklustre draw, Hearts of Oak are now manning the sixth spot with 29 points from 17 games.

Speaking after the match, Ouattara acknowledged his team could have performed better.

“We wanted to win today, but unfortunately, we didn’t score. We didn’t create enough chances; we managed only one or two. Unfortunately, we didn’t play well enough to score,” the Ivorian manager said.

“I think the goalkeeper of Samartex did well, especially with one or two crucial saves, particularly the last one,” he added.

Hearts will host Basake Holy Stars at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Sunday, January 26 in a Match-day 18 clash, with Ouattara sure of fielding a strong lineup.
