Aduana FC have been fined GHS 30,000 and ordered to play their next three home matches behind closed doors following an incident involving their supporters and officials of Karela United in their GPL match-week 3 fixture in Dormaa.

The sanctions follow an attack on a Karela United official and damage to the club’s team bus, with the Ghana Premier League side facing punishment for the misconduct.

In addition to the financial penalty and home-match ban, the Fire Boys have been directed to bear the full cost of repairing the damaged team bus.

The decision means the Dormaa-based club will have to host their next three home fixtures without supporters in attendance.

The punishment is expected to affect the club’s home support as they continue their Ghana Premier League campaign, with the team required to fulfil the affected fixtures behind closed doors.

Aduana FC have also been warned that any further misconduct could attract severe sanctions, putting the club under pressure to ensure better conduct from its supporters during future matches.
