The ex-Kumasi Asante Kotoko frontman, Ahmed Toure, has revealed that he and his representative are still into contract negotiation with South African giants Kaizer Chiefs.

The 28-year-old lethal forward is currently unattached since he was released by his former club Kotoko prior to the start of the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League season.

Ahmed Toure had a- two-week trials with the "Amakhosis" outfit in May, but his wish to join them at the early stage of his trials hit a snag due to financial agreement issues.

"I can confirm to you that we're still into contract negotiation with Kaizer Chiefs. We started it since last month and still things are ongoing regarding the move," the controversial marksman confirmed to Kumasi-based radio station Silver FM.

"It was due to financial reasons regarding the contract agreement between my agent and the club  that has stallled my move to Kaizer Chiefs at the early stage of my trials"

"But now, if all things being equal and the negotiation goes through successfully, i could be joining them in the near future,"

"l'll  not elaborate much on the details of the contract but i'm sure something positive may happen regarding the ongoing contract talks between both parties as the transfer window in South Africa is still not closed," he said.

It was believed that, Ahmed Toure caught the eyes of Kaizer Chiefs Boss ,Steve Komphela, during his two weeks trial session and had wanted to add him to his roster ahead of the PSL campaign.
