Enterprising forward Andy Kumi Francis has disclosed there is so much quality at his new club Medeama SC and are looking forward to clinching their second league title heading into the 2024/25 season.

The 25-year-old has finally returned into the Ghanaian topflight after a short spell with Serbian side Radnicki Nis and chose to join the Tarkwa-based club.

The enterprising forward on his return had lots of offers on his table including one from heavyweights Hearts of Oak but ended up chosing Medeama SC and has given his reasons for that.

He confirmed there was an official approach but he decided to join the Mauves and Yellows because they have so much quality at their disposal.

"Hearts of Oak had discussions with my agent but I chose Medeama. Joining Medeama doesn’t mean Hearts of Oak is not a good club. It was my personal decision to join Medeama."

"Asked if he swerved Hearts of Oak because of pressure, he said, “I have been able to play for Kotoko so I think I can equally play for Hearts of Oak very simple.

"At Medeama, there is so much quality just that players don’t have the hype” he told Kessben FM.

Andy Kumi Francis has already joined his new teammates and is expected to feature in Medeama SC's second game against Nations FC this evening at the new TnA Stadium.
