The Porcupine Warriors have commenced pre-season ahead of the 2022/23 season's campaign.

Reigning Ghana Premier League champions Asante Kotoko started preparations for the upcoming season in Accra on Wednesday evening.

The 24-time Ghana Premier League winners began their pre-season exercise with an interim coach Abdulai Gazale following Prosper Narteh Ogum's decision to leave the club after ten months.
 
Newly-signed players such as Steven Mukwala and Frederick Asare were present at Asante Kotoko's training in Accra for the 2022/23 season.
 
Kickgh.com has been told that the club has exempted Danlad Ibrahim from the squad due to international assignment. 
 
Talented winger Isaac Oppong who missed half of the 2021/22 season due to injury was present alongside Ibrahim Osman who has also returned to the club after a successful season-long loan spell at King Faisal FC.
 
Notable players such as Georges Mfegue Omgba, Franck Mbella Etouga, Solomon Sarfo Taylor, Stephen Amankona, Patrick Asmah, Samuel Appiah, Richmond Lamptey, Samuel Boateng, Richard Boadu, Samuel Appiah, Evans Adomako were all present.
 
Asante Kotoko will be flying out of the shores of Ghana next week to Turkey to continue its preparations for the new season.
 
The Porcupine Warriors will be participating in the 2022/23 CAF Champions League, after being paired with RC Kadiogo of Burkina Faso in the first preliminary round slated for next month.
